PointsBet Inks Deal With Indianapolis Colts
PointsBet and the Indianapolis Colts announced last week that the two sides had reached a deal.
This new partnership will allow PointsBet to become the official sports betting partner of the Colts, in a deal that is just for this season only.
The two sides will be looking to explore a long-term deal at some point, but the current situation forced this into a one-year agreement. PointsBet will be looking for more benefits in a long-term deal, and most of those benefits center around in-game promotions.
PointsBet will be given access to use the Colts IP, marks, and logos across all of its sports betting platforms. This will allow the sports betting operator to target Colts fans as potential new customers to the sportsbook.
This deal is non-exclusive, which means that the Indianapolis Colts can seek out similar deals with other sports betting operators. The NFL announced earlier that year that teams were able to form these partnerships for the first time in league history.
PointsBet will also become a partner of the Official Colts Podcast, which is streamed across various online media outlets. The company will also receive promotional and advertising opportunities during the Colts Roundtable Live show.
PointsBet made a similar deal with the Indiana Pacers in advance of the NBA restart at the end of July. The sports betting operator offered huge promotions on Pacers games, and it helped make the sportsbook competitive in the market.
PointsBet is an Australian-based company, and it was first launched in New Jersey last year. In March, the sports betting operator launched both mobile and retail sports betting in Indiana.
The sports betting operator is now live in four different states throughout the country, with eight more states on the way. This is one of the fastest-growing sports betting operators in the United States, and striking deals similar to this are a big reason why.
Chicago Bears Also Choose PointsBet
Last week the Chicago Bears announced that they had signed PointsBet as their official sports betting partner in Illinois. PointsBet is one of five mobile operators in the state, but the Illinois market continues to grow as well.
With the popularity of the Chicago Bears throughout the state, PointsBet has been offering promotions and odds Boosts to Illinois customers. The company also signed Bears legend Devin Hester as a spokesperson for the company.
The Chicago Bears had several options when looking for a sports betting partner, including FanDuel and DraftKings. PointsBet offers some unique opportunities for the Bears, and the company is set to become a huge force in the Chicagoland area.
PointsBet has partnered with Hawthorne Park, and the company recently launched retail sports betting at the Stickney location. This retail sportsbook is just 10 miles from downtown Chicago and should become a huge hit with sports bettors from the Windy City.
The sports betting operator will also be offering retail betting at three off-track betting sites in the Chicagoland area.
