WynnBET Joining Indiana Sports Betting Market

WynnBET is now set to launch its sportsbook app in the state of Indiana after receiving official approval earlier in the week.
With the launch, Indiana now has 10 live Indiana online sports betting options, and more could be on the way later this year.
Once WynnBET is officially live in Indiana, it will mark the fifth market for the sports betting operator. Indiana will provide another great opportunity for WynnBET, as it has consistently been one of the top seven sports betting markets in the US.
To gain market access into Indiana, WynnBET reached a deal with Full House Resorts, a big name in the state’s casino industry. Full House owns and operates the Rising Star Casino Resort in Rising Sun, Ind.
WynnBET and Full House Resorts have had a deal in place since 2019, and plans to launch online sports betting in Indiana have been in the works since 2020. There was hope that WynnBET would launch prior to the start of the 2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, which is being played entirely in the state of Indiana.
Indiana has actually reported some disappointing sports betting numbers in recent months, but part of that has been due to no new operators in the market. WynnBET is the first online sportsbook app to launch in the state in 2021 and should provide another boost.
This new app will be available for download on both Android and iOS devices, and a sports betting site will also be available. Sports bettors in Indiana are able to take advantage of remote registration, meaning they will never have to step foot in a casino property.
Indiana is on pace to go over $2.5 billion in total sports betting handle in 2021, assuming there are no lasting effects from the COVID-19 pandemic. March could be a record-setting month for the state thanks to March Madness, with those totals to be announced in April.
Massive Growth Happening For WynnBET
It’s not exactly clear why it took WynnBET so long to become a major player in the sports betting industry, but the company is looking to make up ground in a hurry. Other major casino companies started to expand as early as 2018, but that was not the case for WynnBET.
In November 2020, WynnBET sportsbook was officially launched as the sports betting arm of Wynn Interactive. It didn’t take long for the company to start making deals with professional sports teams or reaching agreements to gain market access into states with sports betting.
Colorado and Michigan were the first two targets for WynnBET after New Jersey, and both markets provided a successful launch. WynnBET was also able to launch in the state of Virginia in January through a partnership with NASCAR.
Now that WynnBet has successfully been approved for a launch in Indiana, the company will continue seeking out new agreements while looking to make additional launches. Other sports betting companies might have gotten off to faster starts, but 2021 should be a huge year for this company.
